UPDATE 2: We will be using the rain date, not the original date
We’re going to go ahead and call the rain date. The possibility of pop up thunderstorms when we’ll be out in a field makes the event risky, plus Sunday looks totally clear, plus we’ve discovered there will be several loud events happening Friday night that would conflict with our p bioluminescent zen.
We had someone volunteer to bring gels that can be rubber-banded to a flashlight, so if you didn’t have a red light, bring a flash light and we’ll see if you can’t be hooked up!

UPDATE: We will have a rain date of June 28 at 830 PM.
We will send the rain date to the announce list, but the final decision will be made by 8pm Thursday night, and will only be emailed to the addresses in the RSVP!

Hello friends!
In partnership with the Pascommuck Conversation Trust, we will be hosting a firefly walk on the Trust’s Old Trolley Line Conversation Area! We’d love for you to join us!
We’ll meet at the intersection of Clapp and the trolley line, 19 Clapp St, Easthampton, MA 01027, at 815 PM on the evening of the 26th. We’ll tell you a bit about fireflies, and their intersection with native plants and dark skies and all the rest, and then we’ll walk out into the fields and marvel at the majesty of these incredibly cool insects!
Please come prepared! You’ll want bug spray, potentially bug netting if that’s your thing, and red light (red light only!) headlights or flashlights!
Please be prepared to leave your cell phones put away and silenced, and please be prepared for a few minutes of silence! Groups can be chatty and part of the firefly experience is definitely the night noises!
If you plan to come, please RSVP using this form!
If you have any questions you can let us know via the form!
In other news, we need new members to join the BEES committee! We have a lot of good folks and a lot of great ideas (more about those ideas coming soon), but if you have any interest at all, please reach out to me at sga.politics@proton.me. We have a lot of fun and we’re doing some good; a few more people will really help us be able to do a log of good!
We look forward to seeing you soon!
